A few years ago, I had a serious work/life balance problem, and I'm not convinced that I'm any more capable of handling the balance now than I was then. So I try to avoid doing too much work at home. But today I had a technical conflict between our work network and a client's network, so working at home was my only option. Dreyfus simply doesn't understand the concept of "Mr. Mark is home, but he isn't available for tuggies right now." He was so in my face that, by 9:30AM, I had to take desperate measures. I decided to play tugs as hard as I could, and I didn't let him win a single round. after about 15 minutes of solid struggle, he gave up, sulked over to the kitchen, and slept most of the rest of the day. Mission accomplished.
