July 19: Vernon, NJ (mile 1325 (???))

i'm trying to do the mythical "in town, shower, laundry, and resupply, then leave in less than five hours" trick.

...but i'm in the basement of a church with internet access, a chinese food place just down the street, and air conditioning. i would rate the odds of me actually making it out of town tonight at 100 to 1 against :-). [sigh], i have no willpower sometimes. i think i'll just do extra miles tomorrow instead. new jersey and new york have been fun so far. lots of interesting scenery and wildlife.
